WRITING
WRITING
I have recently completed my first romance novel and am currently working on a sequel. I also love script writing. I have had an interest in the production of film and TV since I pored over my 'behind the scenes of Narnia' book as a small child, and have been passionate about making up stories for just as long, but it wasn't until I was older that I thought to combine the two. I love to bring my passion for history into my work and also put young LGBT characters at the forefront of my work. I enjoy writing work for film, TV or stage and am always looking to collaborate on new projects. I also regularly write for West End Best Friend, a leading theatre review/news site and have written articles for The Historians Magazine.
HISTORY
I have had a passion for history since a very young age. I always loved to research areas that interested me and complete projects in the subject. As a young teenager I volunteered at North Lincolnshire Museum for two years assisting their Collections Manager. I am interested in social history, with a particular love for the Tudor, Regency and Victorian eras. I currently run "The Last Plantagenet" TikTok account where I share daily history fact videos and I am studying a Master's Degree with the University of Leicester.
ACTING
I have been involved in theatre since a young age. I was inspired during a Brownie trip to a local pantomime, later joined that same pantomime as a villager, and have performed ever since. I recently performed for that pantomime company as the principal boy Jack Durden in Jack and the Beanstalk. I have also been involved in many other pantomimes, musicals and plays, most recently productions of Little Shop of Horrors and The Addams Family Musical. I am a passionate singer, taking ongoing vocal lessons. I was recently awarded a distinction for my LCM Grade 8 Musical Theatre Exam.
I also work as a runner on tv sets, I recently worked on BBC One's Sort Your Life Out with Stacey Soloman. I am always looking for other opportunities to widen my tv and film experience.
I have also worked as a graphic designer, specialising in designing props and promotional materials for theatre productions, gaining a degree in the subject. I have designed for a number of clients, both local and overseas.
I have lots of experience working with children, having run my own Girlguiding Brownie unit as Brown Owl for five years and working as a drama leader at Rising Stars children's drama group for six years.
